A Year in the Life of Principal
January is almost over but rather than feeling blue about it, we looked back at 2019 and some of the memorable things the Principal team got up to. Our year was full of everything from familiarisation trips, industry exhibitions, site visits with clients, awards ceremonies …… plus we delivered a number of incredible events for our clients.

Who said January was a quiet month for events? For our team, it meant delivering a number of events that helped clients Kick Start their year and London was certainly the flavour of the month!
Our global knowledge stems from our curiosity about the world and February took us far and wide including Dubai, Malta and Berlin as we delivered several exclusive events.
March was an exciting month for the team because, for the 11th year running, Principal was proud to win an award in the category for Best Intermediary Agency (fewer than 40 employees)!
WHAT A TEAM!
But that was not all we did in March….we also ran a number of events in Italy, Spain and Poland, plus the Royal Opera House enlisted our help to design and install the exhibition displays for the Design Challenge 2019 competition. Take a look at what we created:
Heading into spring, the events we worked on had very particular themes which came through both in colours and design. Plus our superstar Senior Project Manager, Stephanie Gray, ran a fantastic event in Vegas where sustainability was at the top of the agenda! Here are some of the highlights of April.
One of the most social months of our calendar and on the 16th May, Principal turned twenty-five years old… so we kicked off the celebrations with a special treat for the team.
Our Colleague Mark was excited to deliver a fantastic event in Athens and our first at the new Four Seasons Astir Palace.
The Principal team kicked off the summer with a number of events around the globe and the team was onsite in Germany, Portugal, Poland, and South Africa. Too many events to show you, but here is a little taste of what delegates enjoyed in Sintra, Portugal and Warsaw, Poland.
We properly celebrated our 25th birthday by hosting a party for the Principal Family, clients and supplier partners on the 4th July!
Plus the team attended the ICE Awards… as finalists in the Best Agency Collaboration Category.
As we head into Autumn, this is one of Principal’s quieter months, however that didn’t stop the team taking a little time out to gear up for the many events to come in October and November.
A company of all trades, we were finalists for Best Agency UK at C&IT Awards whilst also delivering The Caterer.com Awards at The Westminster Park Plaza. To top it off, our team delivered a spectacular Circus themed event in Dublin.
As winter started to set in, that didn’t stop the team from delivering amazing events in Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Dublin and Rhodes. Here a little taste of what these events looked like:

Last, but by no means least, we headed into Christmas with a BANG!. What better way to end an anniversary year, than with a big celebration Christmas kick off event in Athens for the whole Principal Family!
We successfully delivered 80 events in 18 different countries! WHAT A YEAR WE HAD!
