This year, our summer party brought us back to our roots in the heart of Camden. We chose the Camden Art Centre not only for its inspiring spaces, but because it embodies the values that guide our business: community, culture, and a commitment to sustainability.
We pressed pause, swapped screens for real conversations, and took time to connect as a team. The weather had its own plans, but the day was still perfect! Plan B was activated.

Mid-Year Reflections and Future Ambitions
The day began with our directors’ sharing an update on our 2025 ambitions and the strong progress already achieved this year. Beyond the numbers, the spotlight was on our growing network of internal committees, called the ‘Principal Community’ — platforms that give every voice in the business a role in shaping how we connect, innovate, and act responsibly.
We were pleased to finally launch the XChange Board — a new initiative designed to spark ideas, amplify the voices of the next generation within our business, and drive forward-thinking change. It now sits alongside our other initiatives, including The Social Space, The Green Room, our Schools Engagement Programme, Coffee Club for parents and carers, and the Run Club, each playing a part in shaping a connected, supportive, and future-focused culture.

Building Momentum Together
Our summer party was more than just a celebration. It was a mid-year moment to connect, reflect and have fun!
La Dolce Vita — ‘the sweet life’ — felt like the perfect theme for our summer party. For us at Principal, it’s not just about indulgence, but about celebrating the moments that matter; coming together, sharing good food, enjoying each other’s company, and taking time to pause and appreciate the journey so far. Just as ‘La Dolce Vita’ evokes effortless style, joy, and connection, our day was filled with creativity, laughter, and a spirit of togetherness.
This spirit carried through every part of the day, from mindful drawing and pottery sessions to a vibrant plant-forward lunch with colourful vegetarian dishes and responsibly sourced protein. Then the fun really began: giant Jenga, lemon dipping, the human slot machine, and a host of garden games, all with the Principal Spritz Bar keeping everyone refreshed as cocktails and mocktails flowed throughout the afternoon. And to top it off, our little mercato stall gave event décor a second life, recycling items for the Camden Arts Centre.

Final thoughts
With so much to be proud of, we’re shaping a stronger team and a more engaged business, ready to deliver even greater impact for our clients.
