We are looking for a Technical Production Manager who will be responsible for ensuring successful delivery of events, working alongside the Production Director, the Production departmen t and the Project Management team.This role will be responsible for providing technical event solutions for Principal’s full lists of projects, managing key technical design, planning, logistical, creative elements and post evaluation.
What You'll Be Doing
Planning and Design
-
- Lead on the planning, design and practical delivery of the technical elements of all Principal Events to a high standard. This includes video, lighting, audio, scenic and staging to successful completion of technical events and projects.
- Produce kit lists, production schedules and all other related paperwork such as risk assessments, technical specs and CAD plans.
- Assist clients in venue and entertainment selection, including theming and design – Consultation from a technical perspective.
Execution

- Management of onsite technical production delivery to pre-assigned specification.
- Overseeing the setup, configuration, and operation of technical equipment.
- Providing technical support and problem-solving during events.

Post Event

- Conducting post-event evaluations to identify areas for improvement.
- Responsible for budget reconciliation for the projects you have delivered.
Budget and Resource Management

- Draft budgets for all aspects of the events as directed by the Production Director.
- Ensure that production costs and post event invoices are managed.
Team and Collaboration

- Working collaboratively with the internal team and external clients to collate, review, assess, sign off and distribute third party risk assessments.
- Maintaining strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
Safety and Compliance

- Prepare risk assessments and method statements for Principal, ensuring that Health and Safety policies and licensing requirements are always met.
- Ensure that all parties involved in the delivery of the projects are both familiar and compliant with the Health and Safety policy and all associated policies, procedures and methods of working.

- Ensure legal compliance with all production activities are adhered to for regulatory requirements.
- Adhere with all Principal Policies & Procedures.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience of Technical Production Management within production/creative agency or AV company
- Must have experience of medium to large-scale conferences, exhibitions, theatrical or musical shows
- Excellent working knowledge of AutoCAD/Vectorworks or similar software
- Experience of production managing a wide range of events including virtual and hybrid
- Knowledge and experience of current rigging and work at height practices
- Experience of setting and managing production budgets and other financial processes
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and to be able to demonstrate excellent time management skills
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office Packages, particularly Microsoft Excel
