The brief

Our client was organising a complex conference for the EMEA region. No one delegate’s itinerary was the same as the next, so delegate management was not so much a choice as a necessity. Enter Principal.

The solution

Prior to the event we built a bespoke delegate registration site. Our site was designed to be straightforward and easy to use, so that delegates could register for their event and in so doing let us know when they planned to arrive, if they had any dietary preferences and which meeting tracks and afternoon activity they wanted to attend. Most importantly, they had the opportunity to tell us “something that no one else knew about them” – after all, what’s a conference without an icebreaker! Delegate management continued onsite with a registration desk manned on arrival days and an information desk manned throughout the event. Any questions delegates had regarding their transfers, activities or meeting sessions, we were on hand to help them out.

The verdict

Our client’s feedback was that the event had run more smoothly than in any previous year. The delegates felt well looked after, both as a group and, importantly, as individuals. Sounds like we got it right!
