Marrakech – TeambuildingBack to Case Studies
Our client needed a teambuilding activity for their annual event to be held in the lovely Marrakech. They wanted an activity that would reflect the core business themes of their event, “negotiation” and “people experience” whilst avoiding the proverbial “death by powerpoint”. We were tasked with seeking out the perfect solution.
Setting up a successful teambuilding activity in the rambling heart of Marrakech’s Medina is no mean feat, but we rose to the challenge with our “Medina Challenge”. Based around the biggest souk market, the group was divided into small teams. Each team was given 1000 Dirhams and a camera, and within the time limit had to navigate their way around the market and negotiate hard to get the lowest prices for the goods they needed to bring back to base camp. This activity was very entertaining but also ticked the business element, requiring strategic thinking, teamwork and serious negotiation!
The event was described as extremely well organised – down to every last detail. The client was thrilled with the successful outcome and how well the event balanced a business message with an experiential activity.
